Laila Raza is a Karachi-based educationist, and political activist. Besides having a flourishing career as an educationist, Laila is also associated with a political organization supporting the struggle against land displacement. Combining both of these avenues, she has scripted several street theaters highlighting issues like ‘Sexual harassment on campus, ‘Gender Inequality, and many more. Laila recently worked with a team of French journalists from ARTE TV on a project ‘Karachi’s forgotten, mad women’ highlighting the struggles of abandoned women. She has written several articles on women’s issues, education, and art. Her work is published on various platforms, including Express Tribune and Sisterhood, an award-winning digital magazine for women.
