Raniverse: Women in the Digital World

In this exciting collaboration, Lahore Digital Arts Festival* has curated a special exhibition of seven femme artists to display multimedia digital artworks as part of the Women of the World Pakistan Festival. The theme of the festival is “Rani,” a term that is interpreted in complex ways but stands for leadership, and calls for the celebration and inclusion of all women. Here, the theme is depicted in the “Raniverse,” where women finds themselves in the digital and navigates through. The works represent a variety of viewpoints and backgrounds, mixing video, digital painting, animation, and much more. While the ‘metaverse’ so often remains the world of the elite, the male, the cisgender, in this Raniverse the woman, in all her forms, reigns.
