She is politically active and organizing in Shia, Baloch, and Transgender communities since 2010, she has worked in left-leaning and feminist activist spaces in the past, and she is a member of Karachi Bachao Tehreek, which is an evolving & growing movement of demolition affected people & their allies in Karachi. She has worked with various rights organizations in the past including HRCP and is currently working at a transgender community-based organization as a Field Supervisor at Gender Interactive Alliance under the UNDP HIV Prevention Project, and she is also authoring a book on post-partition evolution of Khawajasira Culture in Pakistan.
