Stellar Life Cycle, the Periodic Table and Resource Scarcity: Activity for Teens
The participants will learn about the stellar life cycle, how different elements of the periodic table come into being, and how they are used on Earth. Participants will be prompted to research how much of a certain element is available on Earth, how much of it has been used, and how much of it is left. The participants will be required to think of ways in which that element can be conserved. Through this activity, the scarcity of different elements of the periodic table will be emphasized. The aim is to enlighten the participants about the scarcity of resources on Earth and encourage them to think about what can be done to conserve them for future generations. The participants will get the opportunity to present their findings on stage at the end of the workshop.
