Sarah has a Master in Development Studies from University of Melbourne and has over 10 years of experience working in the areas of human rights, peacebuilding and post-conflict transformation. Passionate about positive social change and cultivating resilient communities, Sarah has worked mainly on youth-focused programs all across Pakistan particularly focusing on vulnerable and underserved subgroups such as refugees, youth, minorities, people with disabilities and women. Currently, she works as a Technical Advisor with GIZ (German Cooperation) and looks after a peacebuilding and social empowerment program geared towards refugees and host communities in Pakistan.

It explores the rich and diverse musical traditions of indigenous women across Pakistan, from the coastal rhythms of Balochistan to the haunting melodies of Tharparkar. With lyrics in Balochi, Sindhi, Urdu, and Dari, it documents not just song, but survival - how women use music as resistance, memory, identity, and joy. By highlighting younger women remixing ancestral soundscapes, the film bridges intergenerational wisdom and contemporary creativity.
