Kainat Thebo is a Pakistani filmmaker, photographer, and academic whose work explores artistic, experimental, and cultural narratives through lens-based media. She has been awarded prestigious film grants from Seeds of Peace NY, the U.S. Consulate, Arts Council England, and SOC Films. Her award-winning films have been screened across the U.S., Canada, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia. Kainat holds bachelor’s and MPhil degrees in Film and has worked with Lok Virsa, PTV World, and the Pakistan National Council of the Arts. She previously served as Assistant Professor and Coordinator at the Institute for Art and Culture, Lahore, where she advised thesis film projects and contributed to curriculum development.
