In this autobiographical, one-woman show, with all original music, Almitra shares her story of displacement, racial profiling and visa rejections. Originally an angsty hate letter to Immigration, the show has evolved into a heartwarming tale of borders and belonging that is both unique and universally relevant.

Almitra is an International performing artist, writer, composer, and producer based in Karachi. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music (Music Theatre) from the Australian Institute of Music and began her theatre journey in Pakistan with productions like Death Trap and Grease. Almitra has performed internationally, with credits including Fiddler on the Roof, Kinky Boots, and Tough Titties. She has been a resident artist with Echoes of Karoonjhar Residency, dedicated to preserving the cultural heritage of Pakistan's Karoonjhar Mountains as well as a Resident Artist for the Saffron, Women in Music Production Residency. Almitra was part of the Qalambaaz Cohort for 2025 to write her first feature film. She has also recently completed a residency with SOC Films, titled Neela Aasmaan.
Almitra’s work mostly sits in the realm of migration, belonging, and home. She is an advocate for the representation of marginalised communities on and off the screen and on stage. She is also an advocate for spreading awareness for Epilepsy, a cause which is very close to her heart. Almitra hopes that the stories she writes stay with you long after you watch/read them.
