Khawar Mumtaz

Khawar Mumtaz is an advocate for women's rights, human rights, and social justice in Pakistan. She has previously served as the Chairperson of the National Commission on the Status of Women and as an early member of the Women’s Action Forum.She was also the CEO of Shirkat Gah Women’s Resource Centre, an organisation focused on empowering women and promoting development. Her efforts were acknowledged through the Sitara-e-Imtiaz in 2006 and her 2005 Nobel Peace Prize nomination.
