
Imran Iftikhar
Imran Iftikhar is a theatre director, writer, and actor based in Rawalpindi, currently serving as the Artistic Director at Chaand Nagar Cultural Centre. He previously held the role of Programme Director at Theatre Wallay in Islamabad for eight years, contributing significantly to the organization's growth. Imran's portfolio spans productions based on Russian, French, Urdu, and English literature, with works showcased in Pakistan and the United States. He holds an MFA in Creative Writing from The New School in New York. Notable works include directing the Urdu adaptation of Dance Like a Man (Mi Raqsam) in 2024, showcased at the World Culture Festival in Karachi, and writing and directing Marhoom Ki Yaad Mein in 2022, a series of plays based on Patras Bukhari's essays. His earlier career highlights include co-writing and acting in On Common Ground, performed at the Oregan Shakespeare Festival in Oregon, USA in 2017.

It is an exploration of identity and resilience, that delves into the delicate interplay between tradition and self-discovery. Through a gripping dialogue between two voices, the play unravels questions of purpose, freedom, and strength.
