Sumaira Samad

Sumaira Samad is currently serving as Secretary, Women Development Department. Previously, she has served as Secretary, Social Welfare Department and Literacy & Non-Formal Basic Education Department. She has also served as ACS, Agriculture and Rural Development and Director, Lahore Museum among other assignments spanning over twenty years of working in the public sector. She has many years of diverse experience in areas such as policy formulation and implementation, planning, service delivery, project and programme design and implementation, conflict resolution, livelihoods, heritage and environmental management. She has a Masters in English from Peshawar University and a Masters in Environmental Change and Management from Oxford University, UK.

    Humqadam A Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Response Services application. Humqadam is a result of a collective effort for designing an application that can help Women Human Rights Defenders (and the general public) of Pakistan to respond to cases of gender-based violence. The app provides quick access to referral services, relevant laws and a navigation guide for dealing with specific issues of violence.
