Sarah Ahmad

Sarah Ahmad is a Child Rights’ Activist & the Chairperson of Child Protection & Welfare Bureau, Government of the Punjab.

Sarah has done her MBA & later worked in different Multi National Companies. She has also taught at IOBM in Karachi.

She has revamped the Child Protection Bureau as Chairperson since 2013, a department under the Punjab Government. From adoptions of abandoned infants to tracing families of missing & lost children & awareness raising, Sarah has worked with utmost dedication for Child Protection. Her aim is to eradicate child beggary & child abuse from Punjab & to empower neglected children. Currently, she is looking after 1200 street children in Punjab. She has been awarded the Global Collaborative Award in 2022 in Rome, Italy for her work against child abuse in Pakistan. This year has also been awarded Tamgha-e-Imtiaz by the Government of Pakistan for her work in Child Protection. In September last year, she represented Pakistan at the United Nations at a conference on Child Sexual Abuse.
