Huma Chughtai
Ms. Huma A. Chughtai is an international human rights law, sharia, governance and gender specialist. With over 35 years of professional standing, she has cross sectoral professional experience and key expertise in legal, judicial and police reform, parliamentary strengthening and women’s political participation, human rights, gender mainstreaming, and women peace and security. She is an alumni of University of Nottingham, UK, from where she earned her LL.M degree in International Law of Human Rights, as well of International Islamic University, Islamabad, from where she secured her LL.B (Law & Sharia) as one of the torch bearer pupil. She is essentially a judicial educator, a peacebuilder and a researcher. Ms. Chughtai has a number of international certifications to her credit and has extensively travelled across continents and can speak English, French and Arabic languages.
