Ayesha Islam

Ayesha Islam is a community volunteer working for the rights of women and girls. She believes that harassment against women is one of the challenges faced by women in her work area, hindering women’s mobility.

“If women are not supported in public spaces, how will they progress? Women should collectively raise their voices for their own safety while every citizen should act to make public spaces safe for women and others.”

Ayesha leads discussions with local women and fellow youth in the areas to share information on policies and services benefitting women in the area.
